Modi�s dream scheme �Jan Dhan Yojana� a big Hit: 8.39 crore accounts, 18 states, 6 UTs cross 80% mark

With the slogan of �Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas�, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the �Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yoyana� mission from the Red Fort on 15 August 2014. The PMJDY has become a big hit as 8.39 crore accounts had opened all over India including, 19 states and 5 union territories which has marked the 80 per cent completion of mission within 3 months.

The grand success achieved by this Scheme which has a potential in uplifting the life of poor is significant. It is evident that the poor of the Nation was so far denied benefits of the economic policies even an Economist was a serving as a Prime Minister.
