Mr Ashok Singhal while in Orissa criticized Christian and Church for supporting violence and motivating Maoist guerrillas to kill old Hindu Monk Swamy Lakshmanand Saraswati for resisting Christian conversion activities among Hindu tribals of Orissa and promoting reconversion of Christian tribals to Hindu fold.

Also Mr Singhal came down heavily on Orissa state government for allowing European Union delegation to visit riot hit area of the state and to allow them to hold close door meeting with state Church leaders and thereby compromising National interest.

He further criticized the Church for it's conversion drive which according to him was solely responsible for the riots occurred in the state during 2008-09 after assassination of Swami ji.
