PM Modi launches �Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana� with a vision of �Holistic development� of villages

With a vision to improve the standard of living and quality of life of all sections of people through improved basic amenities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday rolled out, �Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana�. Under this ambitious project each Member of Parliament will adopt three villages and ensure their development.

Launching the project on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan, remembering Nanaji Deshmukh, Modi underlined the need to formulate schemes in accordance with the changing times. He said that people in villages must have access to all basic amenities and asked to take interest and create an atmosphere where every person is proud of his or her village. Prime Minister emphasized on a point that in 5 years time, we can adopt 2500 villages.

India�s Kailash Satyarthi and Pakistan�s Malala Yousafzay jointly share 2014 Noble Prize for Peace

The 2014 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded jointly to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzay for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.

Notably the Nobel Committee regarded it as an important point for a Hindu and a Muslim, an Indian and a Pakistani, to join in a common struggle for education and against extremism.

Indians consider Hinduism as a global legacy says RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

RSS Sarasanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat and Vice President of India Hamid Ansari jointly launched the Encyclopedia of Hinduism, a mammoth 11 volume project involving 1000 contributors on the religion at Vijnan Bhavan, New Delhi on Friday.

Bhagwat who shared dais with Vice President Hamid Ansari, highlighted the pragmatic and global dimensions of the Hindu �dharma�, and its exceptional character. RSS Chief elaborated the need to be flexible while rooted, prioritized experience over any written text, and referred the Hinduism as a religion to which different people at different stages had contributed. He commented, �Hinduism is not the property of just Hindus, it is their legacy. But it is for the world. Today, the world wants it.�
